Our customer is a leading Dutch provider of ICT services. The corporate division is executing a transformation program aimed at putting in place a more effective organization and more efficient operational processes. As Business Navigator for the sectors Utilities, Transport & Industry and Health within the Top Corporate clients segment, various initiatives were taken to adopt a more forward-looking approach aimed at increasing value added to the business. Also, financial deep dives into the profitability of customer programs were undertaken.
Finance Business Partner
Our customer is a leading international provider of Enterprise Software. The company is implementing several significant customer facing as well as organizational changes. As Finance Business Partner, the Line of Business Cloud Services was supported in its day-to-day operations, with a specific focus on an audit conducted by a leading Enterprise Software providor. The audit was completed successfully. In addition, revenue assurance projects were carried out within both Cloud Services and the Benelux organization.
Our customer is a joint venture of two of the leading Dutch gas and electricity companies which has just built a wireless data communications network in order to provide services to primarily the utilities sector. As Member of the Board, the Controller is responsible for the entire financial function including relationships with shareholders and other stakeholders. The primary focus was on the realization and initial exploitation of the network.
Business Controller Telecom
Our customer is one of the leading Dutch gas and electricity companies. In order to expand and better manage its smart grid, both a glass fiber and a wireless data communications network were built. The Business Controller supported both roll-out programs from a business control perspective, and was involved in setting up the new organization.
Senior Business Controller
Our customer is a large multinational ICT company that has recently been acquired by an Investment Group. During this process with its inevitable uncertainty, it was very important to assure that the Business Controlling role, as part of the overall Client Team, was properly managed. Specific responsibilities were the monitoring of new business and credit management improvements.
Research & Development Controller
Our customer is a leading provider of Lithography systems for the Semiconductor industry. The R&D division plays a vital role within the organization and it was lacking a clear overview of the terms and conditions of the various R&D Grant schemes. The financial risk was acknowledged and a proper Grant administration set up. Also, the end declaration of one particularly large Grant scheme was managed succesfully.
Senior Business Controller
Our customer is a large multinational ICT company that required a professional Business Controlling team for its Top 25 Clients division. For the Industry & Transport sector of the division, the Business Controlling team was managed and the various Client Teams were professionally supported on a day-to-day basis. Specific attention was given to the set up of financial models to support Contract negotiations and Customer transitions.
Senior Business Controller
Our customer is the leading Dutch Cable operator, which was initially established after the merger of 3 regional operators. During the merger and the initial period thereafter, the Senior Business Controller supported the work stream General & Administrative and managed the Business Controlling teams of the other work streams. An additional role was that of sparring partner towards Senior Management on the setup of the Planning & Control cycle of the new company.
Manager Finance & Administration
Our customer is the European Logistics Headquarter of a US based Biotechnology company. The organization was growing rapidly and as a result, the internal reporting lines were shifting from the European headquarters towards the US directly. The main responsibilities were to manage the Planning & Control activities and the General Ledger and Payroll Administration. A separate project was set up to obtain a clear overview of the financial flows throughout the Supply Chain.
Our customer is the Working Capital division of a US based global conglomerate, which is active in many industries such as Healthcare, Aviation and Energy. The Working Capital division renders financial services such as factoring to the other divisions of the conglomerate. The primary objective of the assignment was to set up the Operational Plan.
Our customer is a Netherlands based global Asset Management company. After the implementation of an Activity Based Costing model for its Investment Funds, it required assistance to improve the model's data consistency and thereby its Management Reporting capabilities. The model was analysed and optimized, and the outcome presented to the end users, enabling them to use the model's potential for Costing and Pricing purposes.
Our customer is a Netherlands based global Investment Management company. The objective of the assignment was to automate its existing Activity Based Costing model. Interviews were held with Line Management in order to validate the various allocations and update those if needed. The outcome was analysed and presented to Senior Management. The model was implemented globally, which required also a supporting role towards the various international offices.
Program Manager Mobile Telephony
Our customer is a leading global Telecommunications company based in London, United Kingdom. The specific objectives of the assignment were to identify and contract Mobile Operators that could generate significant business. The selected Mobile Operators were contracted and Interconnections were set up, and the commercial and operational relationships were managed.
Project Manager Infrastructure Cost
Our customer is a leading global Telecommunications company based in Frankfurt, Germany. The Telecommunications sector at the time was in a slump and Operators were in search of cost savings following years of network expansion. The various Interconnects with Third Party Carriers on the European Backbone Network were scrutinised and centralised where possible, thereby generating mutual cost savings without any significant loss of traffic volume.
Carrier Relations Manager Voice
Our customer is a leading global Telecommunications company. The objective of the assignment was to implement a strategic focus on Key Accounts located in The Netherlands. Plans of Approach were drafted, indicating customer requirements, targets and proposed solutions. These were then implemented, managing the entire chain from initial Business Case via Legal consultation and Operational testing to Go-live and management of the commercial relationship.
Our customer was one of the first global Telecommunications consortia. It was in need of detailed insight into the financial profitability of the Voice traffic that was routed via its network. Following that initial analysis, the relationships with Third Party Vendors were tightened and regular Rate Negotiations were implemented. Whilst improving profitability, it was also possible to lower Customer Pricing thereby increasing Traffic Volume.
Our customer is the leading Netherlands based Telecommunications provider. Following a reorganization, the Financial Plans of the Business Lines within one of the Divisions were to be revised. The Financial Controller managed this revision for one of the Business Lines as well as the process to ensure that the financial Actuals were reported correctly. In addition, negotiations on (internal) Service Level Agreements were supported.
